Lyggeridis murder: Leading officials of Door 7 among those arrested for the murder of the policeman

Three leading members of a certain Thira of Olympiakos fans are among those arrested for the Lyggeridis murder.

Since the early hours of Monday (22/4), a wide-ranging police operation of the sub-directorate of sports violence in collaboration with other security agencies has been underway to locate and arrest fans who participated in the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis.

The police operation has resulted in the arrest of more than 50 people so far over the deadly naval flare attack on 31-year-old police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis on December 7, 2023 outside the closed gym in Rentis.

As part of the operation, a large number of searches have been carried out in homes and vehicles, from which various items of evidence have been seized. The investigation by the Authorities concerns both the case of the death of the young policeman outside the stadium in Rentis and other incidents fan episodes.

Among those arrested are three leading members of a certain Thira of Olympiakos fans. It seems that these individuals were giving orders and distributing the roles in this criminal organization that the Police are investigating, as reported by Mina Karamitrou in OPEN.
