Death of a baby in Kos: The parents got a deadline until Wednesday
The parents of the one-year-old baby who died in Kos from suffocation due to food were given a deadline of Wednesday to apologize.
The parents of the infant were taken to the Kos Primary Prosecutor’s Office in the morning and after the deadline they received, they continue to be held. The 20-year-old father of the infant has been arrested several times in the past, accused of grand theft, robbery, rape, child pornography and drugs.
According to the first assessment of the medical examiner who examined the body of the infant in Rhodes, no sexual abuse was found in the one-year-old girl, while according to the death certificate, the child died at 20:45 on the evening of Saturday, April 20, from asphyxiation – suffocation of obstruction by blockage of the lower airways from wheat.
Regarding information about abrasions and bruises in the infant, according to information, the abrasions were on the neck while he had bruises on various parts of the body. According to witnesses, the child had bruises before, with the parents justifying it as an accident. In addition to the autopsy, a toxicological examination has been ordered for the infant’s body, while items collected by the police from the house will be sent to the relevant laboratories of the Criminal Investigation Department.
At the time of the child’s death, the father was absent from the apartment.
