Easter days are approaching and the chocolate market is expected to boom, as it happens every year.
However, this year, consumers will be asked to reach deeper into their pockets to enjoy their favorite chocolate treats.
The confectioner Michalis Tsatsoulis spoke to ERT about the price levels of chocolate eggs, candies and buns. Increases are expected in all preparations.
“We have tried to absorb as much as possible of its appreciations chocolate, it is very difficult, due to the fact that cocoa, cocoa mass, etc. have increased to 45% to 50% compared to last year. Nevertheless, we have made an increase of 1 to 2 euros per kilo in chocolate products. An egg with 600 grams of chocolate and we sell it packaged with decoration for 20 euros. Chocolate candies at 10 euros. Bunnies and bunnies that last year were at 12 euros this year are at 15 euros,” he noted according to protothema.
“The buns chocolate bars cost 16.5 euros each, while the simple buns at 8.90 euros each, are 750 grams, with a tear of mastic and Greek butter. We try to keep the quality as well as the price as much as possible at normal levels”, added Mr. Tsatsoulis.
