It has been in progress since Sunday evening from Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues big police operation in cooperation with other services of EL.AS., in continuation of the investigation on the murderous attack with a naval flare against the 31-year-old MAT police officer on December 7, 2023 in Rentis.
The unfortunate policeman died after a 20-day battle in the ICU of the General State of Nice. According to information from ERT, searches have been carried out in dozens of houses and places related to people involved with the fan movement.
So far there have been 50 arrests and dozens of arrests, while the operation is ongoing after the completion of the criminal case.
Those arrested are expected to be brought before the prosecutor to be charged.
The 31-year-old police officer died on December 27, after a 20-day long battle, after being seriously injured by a naval flare during incidents that took place outside the “Melina Merkouri” stadium in Rentis during the “eternal” derby, Olympiacos – Panathinaikos.
