Two protest gatherings have been planned by parents and guardians of the 89th Primary School of Thessaloniki.

Initially, they will gather outside the school, which is housed on Nikolaou Manou Street in Analipsi, at 8:00 a.m. to request “that the school complex remain open”, while they speak of plans by the municipality of Thessaloniki to close their school.

At the same time, at 16:00, there is a call outside the City Hall of Thessaloniki, where the city council meets with the same requests.

The parents and guardians, in their announcement, request:

  • “New, modern school, in our neighborhood, for our children, on the same or another available plot.
  • “Until a new building is constructed, we DEMAND that the operation of the existing school be maintained and that all necessary repairs and reinforcements be made to the existing one, following a thorough study by the competent services.
  • “The work that will be foreseen by the study should be implemented as soon as possible and certainly before the start of the new school term”.
