A solution to the mystery of the sudden death of an infant, just one year old in Kos, was provided by the forensic examination carried out in Rhodes as it revealed that the unfortunate little girl suffocated from food she had consumed.

According to police sources, the cause of death is suffocation, most likely from the French fries he consumed, while sexual abuse does not appear, as initially, according to ERT, there were suspicions.

Initially, the doctors who examined the infant at the hospital in Kos on Saturday night found bruises, abrasions in various parts of the body and suspicious marks on his body, a fact that mobilized them and notified the authorities.

Regarding the bruises on the child’s body, the medical examiner ruled that they came from blows received by her two-year-old brother, or from some accidents.

When the infant was taken, just before 20:00 to the Kos hospital, he had no pulse and was not breathing. The doctors did everything necessary but the little girl did not come back to life.

It was then determined that something was wrong as there was food in his respiratory system resulting in no flow of oxygen.

The 20- and 21-year-old parents are being held for fatal exposure.

The police have taken statements from 10 people and the public prosecutor has also been informed.
