The one-year-old girl in Kos died of suffocation due to food, according to the forensic examination carried out in Rhodes.

According to ERT, police sources report that the cause of death is suffocation, most likely from the fried potatoes he consumed, while no sexual abuse is found. The infant’s parents have been arrested for fatal exposure of a minor.

Doctors who examined the infant last night at the hospital in Kos, where his relatives took him, found abrasions and bruises in various parts of his body as well as suspicious marks, which prompted them to alert the authorities.

As for the bruises, the coroner ruled that they were the result of blows from her two-year-old brother, or some sort of accident.

It all started yesterday at 19:45 when the infant’s mother, while at home, found that her minor daughter had lost consciousness.

He then tried to help her while yelling at the same time. Then, tenants of the apartment building who heard her went to help.

Half an hour later, the minor’s mother called an ambulance and at the same time a neighbor provided her with first aid.

When the ambulance arrived, E.K.A.B. rescuers found that the infant was not breathing and applied the relevant resuscitation protocols.

At 20:32, the infant was handed over to the doctors on call at Kos General Hospital, who found the presence of undigested food in his respiratory system, resulting in a lack of oxygen flow. Despite the efforts of the doctors, the infant died shortly afterwards.
