The “Godfather’s Basket” is coming from today – The “Easter Basket” follows on Wednesday

The “Godfather’s Basket” comes into effect from today, Monday, April 22, ahead of the Easter holiday season.

The “Godfather’s Basket” will last until May 4, 2024. It includes 12 product categories and gives consumers who are godparents or parents of young children the opportunity to make more economical purchases during the Easter period.

What’s in the Godfather’s Basket
Easter candles – toys
Board / Puzzle
Doll toys, dollhouses and other accessories (imitation toys)
Baby toys
Action figures
Construction and building games (eg brick games)
Vehicles – Remote Controlled
Electronic games
Sports toys (eg balls, children’s basketballs and goals)
A soft toy
Musical toys
Chocolate eggs and similar products (optional)

“Easter Basket”: Effective from Wednesday
Two days after the “Godfather’s Basket”, on April 24, comes the “Easter Basket”, which is an extension of the “Household Basket”, as four new food categories are added.

The “Easter Basket” includes the following products:

Lamb
Kid
Greek sweet bread
Easter chocolate eggs and related products
The Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas, stated in this regard: “We support households in practice so that every family table is filled with the necessary goods at the lowest possible prices. Initiatives such as the “Easter Basket” also increase competition between food businesses for the benefit of consumers. With the “Godparents’ Basket” we essentially help godparents and parents to buy quality toys at affordable prices to make all the children happy these festive days. The primary concern of the government and the Ministry of Development is the help and relief of all our fellow citizens, especially the most vulnerable”.
