Today, Monday, April 22, the church honors and celebrates, among other things, the memory of Saint Nathanael the Apostle.

Calendar Monday April 22: Saint Nathanael (Simon the Zealot or Bartholomew – son of Pholomew) came from Cana of Galilee where the Lord performed his first miracle. He was a close friend of the Apostle Philip, who announced to him the fulfillment of the prophecy in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Afterwards, he became one of the 12 Apostles for whom the Lord praised, saying: “Behold, a true Israelite, there is none here.” The apostolic activity of the Apostle Nathanael extends to Africa, Mauritania and Britain, where he was crucified by pagans.
