The delivery and receipt of the donation from the Symvadi-zo association of 100 pavement pillars to the Municipality of Skydra took place in the previous days.
The Board of Directors of the club decided to allocate part of the proceeds from its recent annual dance to purposes that directly benefit the local community.
So in the coming days, the bollards will be placed in front of the sidewalk ramps as well as at crossings, so that the passage of pedestrians, wheelchairs and parents with strollers is not obstructed by parked vehicles. This measure does not negate the self-evident: that we must think about it ourselves and not park on the ramps. However, it is also a “last resort” so to speak, at least for the central busy streets.
The bollards are flexible, 75 cm high and made of suitable material so as not to cause damage to vehicles, while the special reflection that has made them distinguishable day and night.
