Thriller with the dead infant Kos

Dead in her hospital Mr a one-year-old girl was transferred on Saturday night (20/4), under circumstances that have not yet been clarified. The 20-year-old mother of the infant at 19:45 on Saturday found that the one-year-old girl had lost consciousness. The mother tried to help her while she screamed for help.

Then, tenants of the apartment building ran to the house to help and at 20:15 the mother of the minor called EKAV, while at the same time a tenant of the apartment building provided her with first aid, until 20:25, when the E.K.A.B. rescuers arrived at the scene, who found that the infant was not breathing and applied the relevant resuscitation protocols.

At 20:32 the infant was handed over to the on-call doctors at Kos General Hospital, who found the presence of undigested food in his respiratory system, resulting in a lack of oxygen flow. Despite the efforts of the doctors, the infant died at 20:45.

Then, the doctors noticed – according to information from police sources – that the infant had abrasions and generalized ecchymosis in various parts of his body as well as that the anal ring had laxity that is not consistent with his age.

Shortly after 21:00, the Kos Security Department Service was informed, whose Police officers went to the Hospital, where during a macroscopic inspection of the pile, they confirmed what the doctors reported.

What the infant’s parents said

Afterwards, both the infant’s mother and his 21-year-old father, who in the meantime had transferred to the Hospital, were brought to the Department. Those in question verbally stated that the injuries suffered by the infant came either from blows received by her two-year-old brother, or from some accidents, while regarding the anal ring they declared ignorance.

According to information from police 10 affidavits were taken by the doctor of the General Hospital of Kos, the rescuers of the E.K.A.B. and from the locals who came to help.

Ordered autopsy-necropsy of the infant’s body at the Forensic Service of Rhodeswhich will be conducted today as it will be rushed by Coast Guard vessel.

In the presence of a judicial officer and staff of the Kos Criminal Investigation Office, it will take place investigation-autopsy at the family home. The Kos first court prosecutor has been informed of the tragic incident, while the preliminary investigation continues, in order to fully ascertain any crimes committed and to identify the perpetrators.

According to information from ELAS, the infant’s father is said to have engaged in pornography.
