Traffic regulations are in effect from today, Friday, due to the works for the construction of Metro line 4 in Galatsi.
According to EL.AS., the traffic regulations will be applied in the Municipality of Galatsi from November 10, 2023 to November 10, 2031, around the clock.
Traffic regulations in detail
Gradual restriction of its roadway width L. Veikou of a minimum width of approximately 6.50 m. and in its section, from its junction with Mavrogenous Street, to its junction with Galatsiou/Protopapadaki St., occupying the right side of the roadway and simultaneously shifting the dividing island to the left, in the direction of movement of vehicles in the traffic flow towards Galatsiou St./Protopapadakis.
Gradual restriction of its roadway width L. Veikouwith a minimum width of approximately 6.50 m. and in its section from its junction with Galatsiou/Protopapadaki St. to its junction with Apiranthou Street, occupying the left side of the roadway in the direction of movement of vehicles in the traffic flow towards Olympic Properties.
Gradual restriction of its roadway width L. Galatsiou of a minimum width of approximately 8.75 m. and in its section approximately 60 m. before its junction with St. Ag. Glykerias, occupying the right side of the roadway in the direction of movement of vehicles in the traffic flow towards Psychiko.
Gradual restriction of the road surface width Protopapadakis minimum width of approximately 6 m. and in the part thereof from its junction with St. Ag. Glykerias until its junction with El Street. Venizelou with occupation of the right side of the roadway and simultaneous displacement of the dividing island to the left, in the direction of movement of vehicles in the traffic stream towards Psychiko.
Gradual restriction of the road surface width Protopapadakis of a minimum width of approximately 8.75 m and in its section from its junction with El. Venizelou until its junction with St. Glykerias, occupying the left side of the roadway in the direction of movement of vehicles in the traffic flow towards Patision.
Total exclusion of the street Hippocrates with the exception of the use by passers-by and construction site and emergency vehicles, from St. Ag. Glykerias and for a length of approximately 40 m. and the Protopapadaki bypass, with the exception of the use by passers-by and construction site and emergency vehicles from Ag. Glykerias and for a length of approximately 30 m.
Characterization as a dead end of the street Hippocrates and in its section from the construction site occupation to Lysiou Street, and the Protopapadaki bypass from the construction site occupation to Profitou Ilias Street.
Regression of the street Lysiou from Gallakidon Street to and until Ippokratous Street.
Mandatory course straight line of vehicles moving on the road St. Glykerias before its junction with Ippokratous Street and the vehicles moving on Ippokratous Street from the construction site occupation towards Lysiou Street.
Mandatory course by turning left or right of vehicles moving on the street Lysiou from Galatsiou Street to Ippokratous Street and vehicles moving on Lysiou Street from Gallakidon Street to Ippokratous Street.
Stopping and parking prohibited of vehicles on the right side of the roadway L. Galatsiou, Protopapadaki and Ag. Glykerias along the entire length of the construction site occupation in both traffic streams, on the right side of the road surface of Veikou Street along the entire length of the construction site occupation in the traffic stream towards Galatsiou Street, on the right side of the road surface of the Protopapadaki bypass from the street Prophet Ilias to El street. Venizelos and on the left side of the road surface of Profitou Ilias street from El. Venizelos to Protopapadakis pass.
