EICMA 2023: Vespa Primavera and Vespa Sprint – Renewal, and electric versions

The Italians have decided to present at home the renewed Vespa Primavera and Vespa Sprint, each with two versions of equipment (Primavera, Primavera Tech, Sprint, Sprint S) while for 2024 they also acquire two electric versions, Primavera Elettrica and Sprint S Elettrica.

The Vespa has literally changed the lives of millions of people worldwide as it filled the need for an affordable – and ultra stylish we might add – means of transportation, and the millions of sales it has managed to make over the years shows its popularity. At EICMA the people of the Italian company presented the 2024 Vespa Primavera and Vespa Sprint, which are released in Euro 5+ versions of 50, 125 and 150 cubic meters, receiving a refresh for the new year as well as two new electric versions.

The first change is found in the appearance, and specifically in the front part. Both have a new front fender, but the Vespa Primavera and Primavera Tech also have a mid-fender trim. We have a change in the saddles which have new covers while the rims are new in both models. In the Primavera there are rims with five spokes while in the Sprint there are rims with a design that refers to the letter “Y” – if one puts his imagination to work. Most versions get the 3-inch LCD screen – the Primavera Tech 125, Primavera 150 and Primavera Elettrica have the 5-inch TFT color screen – with the user of the respective vehicle able to connect their mobile phone to the Vespa MIA multimedia platform.

Now next to the Primavera and Sprint models with a thermal engine, the two electric models Vespa Primavera Elettrica and Vespa Sprint Elettrica will be available from the new year. Both are based on our well-known Elettrica that debuted in 2018, with top speed limited to 45 km/h for the AM category, while there will also be a Primavera Tech Elettrica version with a final 70 km/h for category A1. The big change is in the batteries as now they will – finally – be removable so that they can be charged at home, in the office or somewhere else. Note that the original Elettrica remain in the Vespa range in 2024, in the same form, with their batteries not removed.

The Vespa Primavera and Vespa Sprint models as well as their other versions will be offered in various color combinations. Specifically, there will be the following colors.

• Vespa Primavera: Bianco Innocente, Nero Convinto, Verde Amabile, Arancio Impulsivo and Blu Energico
• Primavera Tech: Blu Energico Opaco and Grigio Enthusiasta
• Vespa Sprint S: Bianco Innocente, Nero Convinto Opaco, Verde Ambizioso, Rosso Coraggioso and Blu Eclettico
