THE Monica Bellucci participated in 64th Thessaloniki Film Festival and received the “Golden Alexander” award, while he thanked in Greek for the great distinction.

The award was presented to Monica Bellucci by the regional governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, who welcomed her in Italian, honoring her origin.
She herself received the “Golden Alexander” with emotion, thanking in Greek for the honor.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would like to express my gratitude to Maria Callas, who was a source of inspiration for me” said Monica Bellucci and the audience adored her.
The regional governor thanked Monica Bellucci for her presence, while he did not fail to invite the famous actress to shoot a film in Thessaloniki, which he said has now established itself as a destination for major producers.
“It is a great honor to welcome one of the most important actresses in the world. We wish and hope that he will find an opportunity to shoot a film here in Thessaloniki as well. She has given her own light, with films that will remain forever in the collective memory”, emphasized Mr. Tzitzikostas.
The Thessaloniki Film Festival also honored the glamorous guest with a surprise video featuring her best cinematic moments.
The “sparkling” award ceremony was attended by representatives of the political leadership and the Local Government.
At the same time, a crowd of people gathered outside the emblematic cinema, to admire the symbol of timeless beauty and elegance up close.
The fans waited for another night patiently for a photo – selfies the luckiest – an autograph or even a bright smile of the Italian star.
