Grigoris Vlachopoulos Panhellenic Junior Champion (Karate)

Exactly one year ago we wrote to you about the now 15-year-old Grigoris Vlachopoulos and the Bronze Medal won by the Greek National Team at the Balkan Karate Championship for Adolescents – Juniors, Young Men-Women & Under21, held November 4-6, 2022 in Montenegro. And we return, today, to Grigoris, on the occasion of his new success in the context of his organization Panhellenic Karate Championship for Teenagers – Juniors and Young Men – Womenwhich was held 4 – 5 November 2023 in Veria.

Grigoris Vlachopoulos, originally from Moudros, grandson of the late Grigoris Vlachopoulos and the writer Varvara Vaiakou-Vlachopoulos, since last Saturday is the Panhellenic Junior Champion. Our Grigoris, made an excellent appearance in the Panhellenic Championship and with an incredible winning streak, won the Gold Medal in the Panhellenic Karate Championship, climbed to the highest step of the podium and was crowned Junior Panhellenic Gold. The next stage is his participation in the organization of Italy in the next period of time as well as his preparation as a member of the National Team for the European Championship in early 2024.

Grigoris is a student of A’ Lyceum, an athlete of AS I DOXA and a student of Dimitris Triantaphyllis and Dimitris Rahoutis. In August, he came to our island again, to Grandma Varvara’s house, where he keeps getting taller and she keeps showing him off.
