Developments in the murder case of Michalis Katsouris, the AEK fan who fell dead from a stab wound he received during an attack launched by Croatian hooligans, on the evening of August 7 in New Philadelphia.
According to his information enikos.gr, a Greek man is detained for his participation in fan incidents that occurred at the AEK – PAOK match in Volos for the Greek Cup in 2017. The information indicates that he was pending final conviction for participation in fan episodes.
According to the relevant information, the man in question went alone to the investigator, who is handling the murder case of Michalis Katsouris, and allegedly claimed that he was also outside the AEK stadium on the day of the serious incidents. The fan gave unbiased deposition. Because an irrevocable conviction was pending against him, the investigator ordered that he be detained in order to serve his sentence.
At the same time, his possible participation in the murder of the 29-year-old AEK fan is being investigated. The interrogator has given an order for it to be taken DNA from the specific Greek fan and to be compared with the “orphan” DNA, which was found on a knife, from the scene of the fight in New Philadelphia, and the blood of Michalis Katsouris was also found.
