The specific financial aid has a permanent character and those who turn 18 will receive it for two years, that is, they will receive a total of 300 euros from the State.
This year is the first time that young people will have the right to claim the aid, but they will need to submit the relevant applications.
Beneficiaries of the aid of 150 euros are tax residents of Greece, who:
- have turned 18 or 19 within the year preceding the application and
- apply to the platform.
Here it should be noted that there are no property or income criteria, in other words all young people who turn 18 can apply, regardless of whether they are from wealthy or “vulnerable” families.
The application is submitted once it is not resubmitted after the completion of the 19th year the age of the beneficiary.
Therefore, an 18-year-old applying for the Youth Pass this year will receive 150 euros this year and an additional 150 euros in 2024 without making a new application.
However, if for any reason, a young person does not apply when they are 18, they can do so when they turn 19, of course receiving the aid only for the second year and not retrospectively.
