Newsmoto dispatch: Tenere 700 and XSR900 GP had their due at Yamaha

Yamaha presented at EICMA the entire Tenere 700 family Including the new Explore.

There were two models that caught the eyes of the public at this year’s EICMA. The first was a new version of the popular Tenere 700 by name Explore and its second edition XSR 900 with a strong racing element and a vintage mood.

The Yamaha Tenere 700 Explore is essentially a rider-friendly motorcycle with lower height saddle for better accessibility. The height is now at 860 mm, while at the same time the KYB suspensions have shorter trips that make it easier for the rider to press more easily on the ground his legs when he is standing.

Another important element is the placement in the basic equipment quickshifter for easy up and down gear changes. Alongside, the jelly front is taller and wider improving rider protection by up to 50%, while side pannier mounts are standard equipment.

Another impressive model at the Yamaha stand was the XSR 900 GP. This is a version of the vintage motorcycle that honors its racing heritage Yamaha having a design inspired by Grand Prix motorcycles of the 1980s.

Next to the XSR900 GP was also the original DB40 which competed in this year’s Goodwood Festival Of Speed being equipped with a full racing kit in engine and suspension.
