The relatives of 17-year-old Giorgos, who was seriously injured in a serious traffic accident that occurred about three weeks ago, on the coastal avenue of Heraklion in Crete, have been plunged into unspeakable pain.
As it became known a few days ago, the unfortunate student – who was hospitalized in the ICU of the Venizeli Hospital – was clinically dead. In the immediately preceding 24 hours, his death occurred, the news of which was received with immense sadness – and – by his school, Gazi General High School.
Today is the last goodbye
Relatives and friends will say a fond farewell to the 17-year-old today, Thursday, November 9, at 3:00 p.m. from the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos in Gazi.
Through a very emotional announcement, the G.L. Gaziou announced the death of 17-year-old Giorgos, expressing “deep sadness and emotional breakdown”.
“It is with deep sadness and emotional heartbreak that we announce the loss of our beloved High School 3 student, who passed away in a car accident that occurred on Friday, October 20, 2023.
George was a remarkable student, full of life, enthusiasm and promise for the future. His friends, classmates and teachers say the warmest things about his personality, his kindness, his dancing skills.
The loss of George is a heartbreak without hope of relief for his family, the Gazi High School and the entire local community. His passing leaves a deep void in all of our hearts.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family as they deal with his loss. Gaziou High School offers the utmost support and assistance to his family during this difficult time.
