How to play the People’s Lottery
The Peoples’ lottery is a JACKPOT game, self-contained weekly draws held every Tuesday.
Each lottery ticket is separate and differentiated based on 3 elements:
- The series
- The number
- The item
You can buy the People’s Lottery in packs of 5 worth €10, but also in individual pieces worth €2 each (1/5).
In Tuesday’s draw, the BIG LACHNOS emerges. A particular block, which has the same sequence, the same number and the same letter is the winner!
That is, for only €2 you can win the Megalo Lachnos!
If the big lot has not been sold then we have a jackpot and the distributed amount that has been accumulated up to the specific draw, is transferred to the next draw and added to the total of the triplets.
If there is no JACKPOT, ie when the Grand Prize is drawn on a lot that has been sold, then the draw’s Grand Prize is funded with additional winnings through an additional draw.
In the additional draw, 2 numbers are drawn. If these numbers are exactly the same as the last two numbers of the winning number (eg 02), then €1,000,000 is added to the Big Jackpot!

The People’s Lottery was founded in 1941.
Draws every week (Tuesday at 19.00 – OPAP YouTube Channel).
Sold in packs of 5 worth €10, but also in individual pieces worth €2 each.
All the pieces of the 5 have the same order and are separated by the Letters A, B, C, D, E.
It returns at least 60% of its sales to players.

All lotteries whose number has an odd or even last digit, depending on whether the last digit of the Big Lottery of the draw is odd (1,3,5,7,9) or even (0,2,4, 6.8 ) earn from €10.

The printed tickets will normally participate in the current PUBLIC LOTTERY draw as they carry all the necessary elements of the draw.
The numbers that will be available in this format are from the numbers that belong to the “Unprinted Numbers” category of the POPULAR LOTTERY included in the POPULAR NUMBERS file (available in the new printed format)
Lachnos will only be available in fives, i.e. each Lachnos worth €10 will consist of five pieces worth €2 each, exactly as it is available today.
