Kendrick Nunn said he was very happy for the opportunity offered by Panathinaikos and determined to immediately contribute to his team, upon his arrival in Athens at noon on Tuesday.
“I feel great. I had a long flight, I’m tired, but also excited. It’s a great opportunity for me. I have played with the small teams of the USA abroad and now I am happy to compete again outside America”, emphasized the 28-year-old ace.
“Panathinaikos is a big club, with a very long history. The coach liked my way of playing and I said I should try it. The coach wants me to come and lead the team, score goals and do what I can. I can provide scoring, leadership and do whatever it takes to win,” he added.
“I can play tomorrow if needed. I’m here and ready for action,” he continued, declaring himself present for Friday’s match against Alba in Berlin.
“Things were a bit complicated in the summer. I want to do well with Panathinaikos and return to the NBA next year. But first I want to win with Panathinaikos”, he said.
Finally, about what he has heard about his new environment he said: “I have a number of friends who have played in Europe and they have said good things about the team and the city.”
