A thriller is underway in Koropi. A Polish tourist has found human bones in a remote area in the Althea area, with initial indications that the bones may belong to 46-year-old developer Nikos Kledonis, who went missing on August 28.

According to the information from anikolouli.gr, the skeleton was found at the 36th km of the coastal avenue, in the Althea Koropiou area, by a Polish tourist who was walking in the rocky area.

It was located in a difficult place, to the left of the abandoned hotel of Agia Marina Koropi. Police officers from the Crime Department immediately went to the scene. The evidence found by the police allegedly leads to the conclusion that the bones belong to the 46-year-old missing person. The forensic investigation will provide the answers to how and when the deceased breathed his last, while the DNA test remains to identify if it is the 46-year-old man.

“I’m so miserable, I don’t want to believe that my child could be dead. I hope the DNA identification will not confirm the nightmare I am living,” says the 46-year-old’s mother after the news of the body being found in Koropi.

Mystery with the disappearance of the developer

The show “Light in the Tunnel” dealt with the case of the 46-year-old developer’s disappearance. Nikos Kleidonis disappeared on Monday, August 28, from his home in Koropi where he lived alone. It seems that something sudden took him out of his house because all his personal information was found on the table along with the food he did not touch. The last person to see him was his mother who describes him as “scared and upset”.

“I open it, go in and see him in the hallway. He was wild and terribly frightened. I went to cut some prickly pears and when I came back Nikos was gone. I waited for hours, saw that he was not coming and left a note for him to call me. I came home the next day and Nikos hadn’t come back. I called him, I called him again and I’m still calling but he hasn’t answered…”.

His friend who “was the only one he trusted”, referred to a significant amount of money that Nikos had in bitcoins. “He had told me that if something happened to him to ask his mother for the bitcoin codes,” said his friend, revealing what the missing person had confided to him shortly before he disappeared.

A neighbor who knew him very well told “Tunnel” that he had been particularly anxious lately and that someone was threatening him. Disruption was caused by the information that reached “Tunnel”, according to which Nikos Kleidonis had reported to the authorities something serious that was happening and which was putting his life in danger. His testimony was also confirmed by his friend who saw him a week before he disappeared.

The missing man’s mother, Angeliki Kledonis, who was found on the set of Tunnel, caused shivers of emotion. A poet and well-known fashion designer in the past, she tearfully spoke about her only son and appealed to those who may have disappeared him aiming for money, to keep him and give her “her God” back…

“He was terribly frightened…”

“Brilliant… But kind to the soul.” She said about her missing only son, Mrs. Angeliki. He spoke about the two romantic disappointments in his life: “He had a relationship for seven and a half years and one night they said ‘goodnight’.” They never spoke or saw each other again. Later he met a girl who met a tragic end. She crashed her car into an irrigation canal and drowned. He was pregnant and all this had affected him.”

The day he disappeared she had gone to his house to see him and everything turned upside down.
