The Committee for International Recession and Peace of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Society of Writers of Thessaloniki and the Artistic Group FireArt, are organizing an event dedicated to 60 years since the assassination of the Vice-President of the Hellenic Committee for International Recession and Peace. For his life and action Mr. Lambrakis the historian Giorgos Leontiadis, member of the EDYET Secretariat, will speak.
At the event, which will take place on Tuesday, November 14, at 7 pm there will be a presentation of the anti-war anthology of E.L.TH. “War father of all;“, with prose texts and poems by 49 members of the Society. The publication of the anthology took place in 2022, against the war in Ukraine but acquires a tragic relevance in our days with Israel’s new war against the people of Palestine. The presentation of the anthology will be made by the President of E.L.Th. Vangelis Tassiopoulos. Excerpts from the anthology will be read by actors Eleni Makisoglou, Anna Sitaridou and Vassilis Seimenis.
During the event there will be a presentation of the documentary “Under the same sky, around the same sea» of the exhibition against the war, with the participation of visual artists from 10 Balkan countries. The documentary follows the course of the exhibition in the Balkans and the European Parliament.
Curating the event that will take place in the “MANOLIS ANAGNOSTAKIS” Event Hall, in the town hall of Thessaloniki has Yiannis Proios, visual artist and member of EDYETH and FireArt.
