Matthew Perry will posthumously get his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the famous Walk of Fame lined with the biggest names in film and television, alongside his “Friends”, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox.

That’s the intention of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the committee that decides who will be honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, TMZ has revealed. The death of Matthew Perry at the age of 54 shocked relatives, millions of fans around the world and his “Friends”, who accompanied him to his funeral.

According to TMZ, the intention of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is to place Matthew Perry’s star near those of Jennifer Aniston and Cordei Cox, i.e. Rachel and Monica from the iconic series “Friends”.

The decision now rests with Matthew Perry’s family. However, the will of the committee is to organize a brilliant ceremony to celebrate the career of the actor after his death and to unveil the star with his name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

TMZ also reported that Matthew Perry’s name was put forward in 2013 for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but the ceremony never took place and thus the award’s deadline expired in 2018.

Of course, Matthew Perry’s family is in mourning. If he accepts the posthumous honor for the actor, then they will be able to invite 60 to 90 people to the star’s unveiling and will also receive $75,000, which they can spend wherever they want.

It is worth noting that the stars of Jennifer Aniston and Cordey Cox are located between Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street, one of the largest and busiest intersections of Los Angeles.
