The local community of the Municipality of Minoa Pediados has plunged into mourning after the unjust death of 79-year-old Nikos Kourletakis, who died after an accident with his tractor.

According to information, the 79-year-old man was found dead in a field by his son who was looking for him.

Friends and relatives will say goodbye to Nikos Kourletakis for the last time today, Friday, May 26.

His funeral will take place at 4 pm in the Holy Church of Agioi Anargyro in Geraki.

According to reports, the branch pinched him at the level of the neck, with the unfortunate old man losing consciousness.

The tragic incident happened yesterday afternoon, while shortly after 10 pm, his son found himself in front of this macabre sight.

An EKAV ambulance immediately went to the scene, where he was pronounced dead.

The circumstances under which the tragedy occurred are being investigated by the competent authorities.

It is worth noting that last week, a 66-year-old man who was doing agricultural work in Basel was crushed by a tractor. Although he was conscious, he called for help himself, but ended up a few hours later in the hospital.
