Eva Kaili: Her bracelet is expected to be removed today – The restrictive conditions imposed on her

Among them it is mentioned that Eva Kaili is called to return the equipment used for electronic surveillance and to allow access to her home to a member of the national electronic surveillance center to remove said equipment.

alsois requested to reside in her residence and not to change her place of residence without first notifying the investigator as well as not to leave the national territory without his prior written permission.

At the same time, it is stated that must not contact all persons involved in the case under investigation, including through the press; but also to answer all calls from the police or judicial authorities. It is pointed out at the same time that these conditions are set effective May 25 and will expire on August 25, 2023; unless it is decided to extend or modify them.

It remains unknown when the trial for his case will begin Qatargate.

Eva Kaili was arrested on December 9, 2022 for the case of the dispute in the European Parliament. On 14 May 2023, she was released from prison with an electronic monitoring bracelet and returned to her home in Brussels. As its advocates have pointed out, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos and Michel Cleese she herself wishes to return to her duties in the European Parliament, while according to information she has been in contact with persons to staff her office again. Interest now turns to whether next week he will participate in its work mini-plenary which will take place in Brussels on 31 May and 1 June.
