According to the OPEN news release, the Greek Prime Minister will refer to Ankara’s revision agendawill talk about Turkey’s “war rhetoric”. and will emphasize its destabilizing role in the wider region of the eastern Mediterranean.
During his speech it will make it clear that Greece protects its borders to the absolute extent but showing the necessary respect for human rights.
It will also clarify that a “red line” for Athens is the questioning of national sovereignty and will repeat that the framework within which Greece is willing to speak is respect for International Law and will invite Turkey for consultation on this basis.
The prime minister’s speech is expected to last about 20 minutes.
