In the Russian-occupied city of Berdysk, the deputy head of the city administration Oleg Boyko and his wife Lyudmila were murdered, writes the newspaper Novayagazeta.Europe, citing a statement from the member of the pro-Russian administration of Zaporizhia Vladimir Rogov.

“Today, September 16, a double murder was committed in the Kolonia district of Berdyansk. In his garage, the deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the city of Berdyansk, in charge of housing and public utilities Oleg Boyko, and his wife Ludmila Boyko, who was the head of the electoral commission for holding a referendum, were murdered,” Rogov wrote.

Earlier it was known that the Russian authorities suspended the holding of referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine “indefinitely” due to the successful counterattack of the Ukrainian forces in the Kharkiv area.

A few days earlier, polling stations had been moved to the Russian-controlled region of Zaporizhia to hold a referendum.

On September 6, the car of the “commander” of the city, Artyom Bardin, was blown up in Berdyansk. Bardin succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

On August 26, the deputy commander of the city’s Traffic Police, Alexander Kalesnikov, was killed by an explosive device.
