The scientists according to the research published on August 2022 in JAMA Network Open, after examining 272,550 adults over a period of about 12 years, they concluded that although all types of exercise benefit health, the ones that help the most are running and sports, which have to do with rackets.

“Running and racquet sports combine balance, strength, cardiovascular endurance as well as mental activity”says the Kristina Kam. Through them, different parts of the body are trained, with only one type of exercise.

Participating in racquet sports improves fitness and cardiovascular health, as it usually involves vigorous movement, running, and rapid changes of direction. This helps strengthen the heart and lungs, while also helping to burn calories, supporting weight loss or maintaining a healthy weight.

In addition, racquet sports help develop muscle strength and flexibility, as players need to perform a series of dynamic movements that strengthen arm, leg and core muscles.

In addition to the physical benefits, the hand-eye coordination required in these sports can improve cognitive skills such as speed of thought, spatial awareness, and reaction time. These skills are extremely important for everyday life and can help improve concentration and discipline.
