Lyratzis, who will judge the formation, Vieirinia’s personality and the three midfielders in the axis “bring out” the eleven of PAOK for the match against Aris
PAOK continues its preparation for the derby with Aris in “Kl. Vikelidis” (4/9, 9:30 p.m., NOVASPORTS, LIVE SPORT24), which after the two consecutive home matches against Panaitolikos and Atromitos, is an important test for Razvan Lucescu’s team.
So far in the first two games of the league, Dikefalos has shown to be well organized, with its players serving their coach’s plan to an almost absolute degree. He was solid, pressing without the ball, with rational development and good circulation when in possession.
The conditions in an away game, with the particularities that games with Aris always have, can be completely different and the Romanian coach and his players will have to respond to them.
Lyratzis influences possible changes
Whether there will be changes in the formation that PAOK will play with depends on the readiness of Lefteris Lyratzis. The young full-back, who did not play in the previous game against Atromitos, has stepped up his game ahead of Sunday’s derby, while he trained on Thursday (1/9).
In case he convinces Razvan Lucescu that he is at 100% of his readiness then he will start at the right end of the Dikephalos defense, where Vieirinha played on Sunday. In such an eventuality, the captain of PAOK will probably move to the left with Marios Tsaoussi being the one who will lose his place in the starting line-up.
From then on, and unless something unexpected happens, Lucescu doesn’t have many reasons to make changes, since the formation with the three midfielders was as efficient as possible, -in the absence of the “dime” requested by the PAOK coach- and the trio in attack with Zivkovic, Narey on the wings and Brandon Thomas at the top showed to work well in the previous game against Panaitolikos.
