The Dutch striker, Thomas van Weert, is on the list of 6 strikers and AEK may go ahead with this option if they find that the others are wrecked.
AEK has on its agenda 6 cases of strikers who have been qualified by the relevant staff, one of which is Ekuban of Genoa, for whom an official strike was made, without the desired result.
It is not out of the question that AEK will come back on his case, however it seems that he is having difficulties with players he is looking at who belong to other teams.
And this happens as in most leagues there is no time for their replacement, from the moment the transfer period expires, which for Greece and some other leagues, but not many, lasts longer.
Also on the list is Thomas van Weert of Volos, a player who is highly valued by the people of the team and for whom Matias Almeida has no objection, especially since it is a striker who will not have the requirement to be permanently starter, but will also sit on the bench without causing a stir.
If they don’t go ahead with someone higher up the list than the Dutchman, then AEK will be expected to enter the… cross-signal with Volos owner Achillea Beo, with whom there has already been preliminary discussion.
With the compensation, of course… The first information speaks of an amount close to 1 million euros, money which is not small for a 32-year-old player who is a proven capable scorer, but not with a tenure in a big team in the past. Of course, AEK are looking for confidence and a goal, and maybe at the end of the day, that will count more.
