Stefanos Tsitsipas makes his debut at the Madrid Open against the Brazilian Thiago Monteiro, while Maria Sakkari will face American Sloan Stephens in the 3rd round of the tournament. Where will you watch the matches?
The “Arantxa Sanchez Stadium” will acquire a strong Greek color on Saturday (27/04), with the program at the Madrid Open including both the premiere of Stefanos Tsitsipas and the second match of Maria Sakkaris.
The program on the court will be opened by Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 7) who will face the Brazilian, Thiago Monteiro (No. 118 in the world) for the first time in his career, with the aim of qualifying for the “16” of the Madrid tournament. The match starts at 12:00 and you will be able to watch it on TV from COSMOTE SPORT 6 HD.
Maria Sakkari (No. 6), for her part, defeated Donna Vekic in her first game in Madrid and booked her ticket to the third round, where she will face American Sloane Stephens (No. 33), in their second meeting after battle they fought in Toronto two years ago where the Greek champion emerged victorious in three sets.
The Sakkari match is scheduled for 14:00 and will be televised by Novasports 6.
It is noted that Tsitsipas will find in the round of 32 one of Lehetska or Mejedovic, if he overcomes Monteiro’s obstacle, while if Sakkari gets the ticket for the best “16” of the tournament, she will find the winner of the pair in front of her Maya-Navarro.
