With its announcement, AEK Betsson informed that it was punished with a one-game suspension by the BCL for what happened in the match with Prometheus, emphasizing that it intends to put an end to the behaviors that hurt the team, while announcing announcements.

AEK Betsson has suffered a lot in the last two years from the behavior of some of its fans in Basketball Champions League and Stoiximan Basket League. He has received many punishments. But he plans to change that now.

This was emphasized by “Enosas” in a statement, on the occasion of its punishment by the BCL with one matchday behind closed doors for the 2024/25 season and a fine of 25,000 euros for throwing three bottles in the match against Prometheus in Ano Liosia on March 20 (lost 67-79).

Specifically, the “yellow and black” state, among other things, that “it is obvious that we face a problem from individual behaviors of our fans, but also behaviors of provocateurs, which cause incalculable damage, competitive/financial to our Team”, pledging that now this will not happen again, since she will take measures.

At the same time, AEK Betsson announced that there will soon be announcements at all levels.

The announcement in detail:

“AEK VETSSON BC informs, that by decision of the Sports Judge, our Team was punished with one (1) game “behind closed doors” in the BCL, with a suspension, for the period 2024-2025, but also with a 25,000 euro disciplinary fine.

The punishment related to the throwing of three (3) bottles during the match on March 20, 2024 with Promethea Patras, and the temporary interruption due to them, in Ano Liosia.

The risk of “heavy lifting” against our Team was visible, because of what happened in last season’s match against Hapoel Jerusalem.

However, incidents also occurred in the BCL matches in Ano Liosia with Reggio Emilia (3 match suspension) and Riga (1 match suspension suspension), in OAKA again in a match with Hapoel Jerusalem (1 match suspension suspension) and also in matches in the Basket League, at home and away, with the consequence that in the last games of the current season our Team is doomed to compete without its people at the Olympic Hall.

Despite the fact that there is relative satisfaction on our part with the sentence, which was judged to be “largely” and with the arguments presented once again by AEK BETSON BC in order to refute the accusations, it is obvious that we are facing a problem from individual behaviors of our fans, but also behaviors of provocateurs, which cause incalculable damage, competitive/financial to our Team.

And the most important thing: It is unthinkable that these attitudes “punish” the majority of sane fans, who demonstrably love the “Queen” and support her with her voice and soul, under any circumstances, while several of them as Season Ticket holders have pre-paid for the “Queen”. We inform everyone who has hurt our Team in the past few years, and everyone who would think to do so again in the future, that our patience has run out.

We have already announced changes at all levels ahead of the new season, and these also concern our equipment and tactics.

We promised that we would change.

And we will change everything!

We are determined to guard our Stadium and our investment, especially since the facility utilization plan is “in progress”, with surprises that will become visible in the next period against the few who delay it, or possibly they also have second thoughts. So we inform them that we are here. More… here it is not done as an Administration, as will soon be proven by actions. We are not disappointed. We are not backing down!

That’s enough!

PS: There will be announcements on all issues soon. Tune in…”
