Liverpool are one breath away from “locking down” the position of Jurgen Klopp’s successor. A few 24 hours after Feyenoord’s “no”, Liverpool raised their offer for Arne Slot and from 9 million euros, it finally reached 15. An amount which seems to be finally enough to “seal” the deal between to the “reds” and the Dutch.

According to the Daily Mail, the two sides are now closer than ever to a deal. In fact, both Liverpool and Feyenoord want to put an end to the story and proceed to complete the deal. Liverpool will offer the Dutch club an amount that will reach – and perhaps exceed – 15 million euros, with Feyenoord expected to say the big “yes” within the next 24 hours.

This is an expected development, especially after the statements made by Slott a few hours ago. The 45-year-old coach said on Thursday night that he wants to become Liverpool’s next manager and that he is waiting for the two teams to find a deal to complete the deal.

“It’s clear to me that I want to work there, to be the manager of Liverpool. Teams are negotiating, so I’m still here. We have to wait until an agreement is reached, but I am optimistic that it will be done,” Slott said.
