The world No.6 finished the match with seven aces, winning 70% (21/30) of the points behind her first serve. She had 29 winners and half as many unforced errors as Vekic, who had 28.
Break after break and streak of games at the right time
The match did not start well for Sakkari, who in her first service game was broken by Vekic, who forced her to make several mistakes. Of course, the reaction of the Greek was immediate as in the next game she broke back without allowing her opponent to get a point.
