Wade Baldwin’s injury came at a time when the Maccabi she was taking the match into her hands with the American withdrawing and showing that he has suffered a concussion.
The news that came a few minutes later, however, was extremely comforting for the Oded Katas player, as the Israelis reported that he has nothing to worry about and that he will be available for the second match at OAKA against Panathinaikos, on Thursday night (25/ 4, 21:15).

A fact confirmed by Wade Baldwin himself, who emphasized that an injury is not going to stop him.

“I feel good and I will play on Thursday. An injury won’t stop me at this point. We found a way to win the first game on a difficult pitch. Everyone in the team played well and we managed to get the first win in the series.
We’ve been in great form as a team over the last couple of months and it was a really big win to open the playoffs, but we still need to win two more games. We were in exactly the same situation a year ago in Monaco and ended up losing the series.
We did the job in the first game and now we have to prepare and try to get another win.”
