What can one say about this goalkeeper? Angelo Sina is one of the main protagonists of the tournament, as he not only kept a clean sheet in both the semi-finals and the final, but also gave Olympic qualification against Nantes in the penalty shoot-out. In the UEFA Youth League he played in 9 matches, had five passive goals and five clean sheets.

The story of the lightning trip from Istanbul to Nyon is well known. Isidoros Koutsidis is one of the hot projects of the Olympiakos academies and with K19 he was a real … rock throughout the competition, defeating important opponents such as Francisco Camarda of Milan in the grand final. He made a total of eight appearances in the UEFA Youth League.

Permanent form in the trio of Sotiris Sylaidopoulos for the defense. Vassilis Prekates has shown how easily he can play in both midfield and central defence, producing excellent performances throughout the UEFA Youth League and forming an excellent trio with Koutsidis and Kostoulas. He played in 9 games in the competition.

Babi’s older brother and son of the veteran Olympiakos footballer, Thanasis. Konstantinos Kostoulas completed the trio of stoppers with whom Sylaidopoulos played in most matches in the competition. Uck teamed up with his brother a few times with long passes and generally stood out in the defensive function. He had 9 appearances and 1 goal in the competition.

The goal he has scored is simply a work of art for the walls of UEFA in Nyon. Theofanis Bakulas was really… everywhere in the midfield and was a footballer who did all the jobs in the axis. He played in 8 matches in the competition but the goal he achieved in the grand final with an upside down scissors, making the final 3-0, was the icing on the cake for Olympiakos.

So what if he’s only 17? What if he is a midfielder? Christos Mouzakitis… broke it in the UEFA Youth League gaining (even more) the full appreciation of the people of Olympiakos. He scored a total of six goals, distributed one assist and played in a total of eight games, being one of the main units of this course and a footballer that not a few foreign teams asked about him.

He had the entire left side of Olympiakos on him throughout the tournament and was 100% successful in the role he had taken over from Sylaidopoulos. He helped a lot offensively with crosses and parallel passes but helped even more on the defensive end, limiting the danger from the flanks and helping the stoppers. He tallied a total of 9 games in the tournament.

The captain of the K19 who drew attention to him for his impressive technique and the way he served the role of right full back, having the whole side on him. Thanasis Koutsogoulas had nine appearances to his credit with one goal and two assists, one of those coming on Bakula’s impressive 3-0 final scorer in the grand final. Together with Christou, he was the man who lifted the UEFA Youth League trophy into the sky.

Another big project of Olympiakos. Antonis Papakanellos brought out every aspect of his talent in the UEFA Youth League, producing impressive performances and on two of those occasions, he also managed to find the net, sending football people into a frenzy. In the 8 games he played in Europe, he had three goals and one assist to his credit, also helping in the blocking part.

The landmark player in the pressure piece. What Stavros Pneumonidis did in the tournament is the… love for every coach who wants his team to push all over the field. The 17-year-old midfielder has impressed with his fitness and quality on the pitch, which has translated into excellent stats as he has two goals and three assists in nine games.

The hottest of the academies at the moment in Olympiakos. Charalambos Kostoulas is only 16 years old but has already earned rave reviews for his talent and is seen as a forward who will make a difference in the future. Fast, strong and executor, which was shown by the five goals in eight appearances, while he also had one assist and also the won penalty in the final for 1-0.

He was the man to score the last-gasp penalty against Lance to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League. Konstantinos Tanoulis was acquired last summer and was a choice of Silaidopoulos who came off the bench in the final while he played in just one match as a starter, in the 3-1 win against Bayern Munich. In total he made six appearances in the UEFA Youth League.

Another case where he often came off the bench in order to give peace and fresh legs to the Olympic defensive line. Antonis Damas played in eight of the nine games and a total of 154 minutes, having a significant role in the match against Lance as he played for 57 minutes after Koutsidis was injured.

Along with Mouzakiti and Bakula, he was one of Olympiakos’ key midfielders in this UEFA Youth League run. Argyris Liatsikouras, whenever he was used by Sylaidopoulos, helped to the maximum in the midfield, having as his highlight the accurate execution of a penalty in the semi-finals against Nantes, with which Olympiacos qualified for the grand final of the competition. In total he played in nine matches, two of them as a starter.

The player with the fewest UEFA Youth League appearances from the list in question. Christos Gatopoulos had in front of him Charalambos Kostoulas for the position of forward and so he had only three participations in the institution, playing in just one match as a starter, against Kampala, where he already scored.
