The Men’s polo team of Olympiakos returns to the “battle” of Europe on Tuesday (23/4). At 18:00 (EPT Sports 2), Olympiacos faces the mighty and undefeated Ferentsvaros, which it welcomes to the Papastrateio swimming pool, for the crucial 4th matchday of the quarter-final groups of the Champions League.

In a “titan battle” in Piraeus, the doubles of Greece, spurred on by their fans, want victory over the leaders of the group, in order to take a decisive step for their qualification to the Final-4 of the top European inter-club competition in Malta.

In the very pivotal European match against the Hungarians in Papastrateio, the “red and whites” will be without the services of the suspended Londar (he was sent off strictly in the away match against Brescia, 39 seconds before the final), but on the positive side, they will have the Nikolaidis, two and a half months after his serious injury.

Hervo Kolianin’s statements:

“We know that the home games are very important and to pass, you have to win all the matches at your home ground. Tomorrow, we play a very good opponent, particularly strong individually, with a lot of quality. We know the problems with the team and we tried to prepare with a different way of playing than we usually use. That’s why we used the match with Vouliagmeni, to try a different style. I believe in the team and with the help of the people, we can achieve a very important victory that will bring us very close to the Final-4”.
