Article by Giorgos Vitas on super-fm.gr: Which investor?

--

When blessed Giorgos Christovasilis bought the PAS team, it was obvious that he would waste his money. He didn’t buy to win. He didn’t invest. He had a job and a very lucrative one at that. He bought, because he was a persistent Epirotian, who wanted to contribute to his homeland. That’s how it started, he initially (and later) gave a shitload of money for transfers, and since then some of the debts created at that time follow the team to this day.

Along the way, of course he sold players, he couldn’t and shouldn’t cut their careers short and of course he put money into the team’s coffers. He didn’t have scouting, he didn’t look for talent, he didn’t invest in footballers. If they turned out well for him, otherwise he didn’t get a single player from Epirus, for example, with the prospect of development and sale. He never had academies of excellence, and of course if he said that he had a model like the academies of Olympiakos or PAOK, it would be a joke.

They have scouts, they get the best that comes around, host the player in facilities, pay for schools, tuition and salary and wait with work to get something. PAS did NONE of these, never.

Of course it is ridiculous to expect anyone to invest in P.A.E. with three thousand tickets, no assets and no serious training center.

The then president was unfairly accused of not selling and not leaving. This is what some people asked for in times of crisis. Giorgos Christovasilis has said many times that NO ONE has ever offered him anything to buy the team, but no one listened. But it was true.

Therefore, the solution is not for Panagiotis Christovasilis to leave today. Because no one wants to take his place. He made mistakes obviously, he slacked off for sure, but none of us know what else he had priority to fix to command and save, since the loss of his father. The shop is his. It will remain like this, as long as no one has any reason or motivation to buy it, does not have the passion (why is this needed) and of course money to do it. The Christovasili family, if they find a buyer on their own, will do so. Otherwise, there is no buyer light. So Panagiotis Christovasilis is the only solution for continuing the effort.

I should note, (because there will be well-wishers), that I have not had any phone calls with any of them for two months and they are not aware of this text.

In conclusion and as a reflection. Iraklis is for sale, with assets worth millions of Euros, a lot of people and another name and special weight. Do you see something happening? Are candidates queuing up to buy? So, be patient and God has it. In setting up the new team.
