THE Iranian fighter Ali Heibati took on Arkady Osipyan at the Hardcore MMA tournament in Moscow on Friday night (04/19) and before the fight even started, Heibati kicked a ring girl in the rear as he walked by holding a card that meant the first round would start.
The woman appeared surprised by Heibati’s behavior and approached him to express her disapproval, while the referee kept them away and warned him about his behavior.
A few minutes later the fight started but was short lived as Osipyan secured the victory by TKO in the first round.
His victory was confirmed by the referee who called off the bout with just over 30 seconds left in the round as he found Heibati unable to defend himself.
As the referee escorted Osipyan back to his corner, Heibati rose to his feet and began attacking his opponent, landing multiple strikes as he had his back turned.
He was quickly removed and several people entered the cage to separate the two men while they awaited the official verdict.
Television footage showed Heibati then being attacked by people in the crowd after the match, as he was pushed into chairs and received several blows to the head.
After his shameful actions, Heibati took to social media to apologize to the ring girl named Maria.
“Hi to all. This is for Maria. I didn’t treat her right. The reason was that before the MMA match there was a lot of punching.
I stayed there in the cage and just wanted to go out and fight.
I was tight and, as most people understand, emotions run high in the race, so before the race I was mean to Maria.
I want to publicly apologize to her. I am a married man, so I respect the female gender.
She did her job and I, after the match, didn’t even admit my guilt, because I was also hit on the head.
