UEFA rating: A disastrous night and a missed opportunity

It was a disastrous night for the Greek teams in the European Cups as they collected only 200 points and thus missed the opportunity to overtake in the special UEFA standings.

The fourth matchday in the Europa League and Europa Conference League was anything but a good night for the Greek colors. Panathinaikos, AEK and Olympic experienced as many defeats by Wren, Marseille and West Ham respectively, while o PAOK was drawn in his seat with the Aberdeen. The specific results are reflected in just 200 points in the special UEFA rating, which means that our country reaches 26,325 and remains in 19th place.

Thus, Greece lost the opportunity to overtake it Israel and Ukraine which are in 18th and 17th place respectively. Ukraine did not have any point gain on this night as the Zorya Luhansk was defeated at home by Maccabi Tel Aviv. These were the 400 points that Israel won, since the country’s other representative, Maccabi Haifalost to the Villarreal in Cyprus.

Based on the above, the Ukrainians reached 27,000 points, i.e. 625 more than Greece, while the Israelis reached 26,875, i.e. 550 more than our country. As far as the teams that are from the 16th place and above are concerned, the Serbia had zero harvest, since Batska Topola and Chukaritsky both were defeated, with the Norway and Denmark to open the gap even more.
