Maccabi Haifa – Villarreal 1-2: Upheaval that makes it difficult for Panathinaikos

Villarreal made the easy difficult but in the end came away with a victory 2-1 from Cyprus which uses as its headquarters Maccabi Haifa for his 4th matchday 6th group of the Europa League.

The “yellow submarine” started the match well, had chances, but after the first half an hour they blacked out. Abdoulaye Sek opened the scoring in the 30th minute and shortly afterwards the Spaniards won a penalty.

Manu Trigeros shot and Sharif Keuf saved, but the referee gave a replay because the Israeli goalkeeper was not in the right position. Triggeros fired again, this time from the right, but again Keough saved to keep his side’s lead.

In the 2nd half, Pacera’s players dramatically improved their performance, found many opportunities and finally their efforts paid off in the last quarter. Alex Baena equalized in the 82nd minute and four minutes later Alexander Charlotte made it 2-1 to give Villarreal the win.
