Joan Platha spoke about the rotation and the usefulness of all his players after AEK’s big win over Szczecin in Poland.
THE AEK achieved a very big victory in Poland over Szczecin and so he is on an unbeatable trajectory at Basketball Champions League.
This 3/3 at the beginning, however, does not take him out Square off road, with Spanish to emphasize that his team is called to stay focused, as he stated in the press conference.
Platha’s statements
“Like Randle said, we have respect for this team, we know their history. He caused problems for our opponents. We knew how difficult the game was, we prepared properly and we were humble in our game. They have good shooters. They have one of the best players at the start of the season, but we got the rebounds and in the end we got the win.”
For the difference of 9 points: “The difference was important for us and in a season like this you want to be hungry regardless of the score. The players made sacrifices on the court for victory to come. We’ll see about the next step in the rest of the season.”
For rotation: “Kuzminskas played less, Justin played more and some substitutes. In the team I am in, those who understand the game well, who give their best at that moment, will play. McLemore, Randle will rest at times. He is part of the team and one day a player will come forward. The same is true in defense.”
For the 3-0 in the BCL: “We haven’t achieved anything yet. We should not think that we have won something and then relax. That’s not the point. The point is to stay focused. We didn’t have good shooting percentages, we made mistakes, we didn’t have many assists and that shows that we have to improve.”
