‘Ready to play even tomorrow, aim for the championship’

Kendrick Nunn arrived today (7/11) at noon in Greece for Panathinaikos and in his first statements on Greek soil he showed awareness.

The American guard appeared informed about Panathinaikos, emphasized that he can immediately participate in the duties of the “greens” and added that he wants to win the championship.

About how it feels: “I feel great,. I had a long flight, I’m a little tired, but also excited to be here.”

For the reasons he chose Panathinaikos: “My family will feel comfortable in Athens. It’s a great club, with a history and a style of play that suits me. The players and coaches suit my style”.

On whether he spoke with his former teammates before agreeing with Panathinaikos: “I have some friends who have played in Europe and they spoke highly of Athens, so I’m excited to come.”

For what if he has spoken to Ergin Ataman about his role: “I spoke with him and he is one of the reasons I decided to come. I came because he wants me to come and be myself, score goals, be a leader and win.”

On whether he is ready to play despite his abstinence: “I’m definitely ready. I can play tomorrow, so I’m here and I’m ready.”

About how it feels: “I’m excited. It’s a great opportunity. I’ve only played in the US and the US minor nationals. I’m excited for the trip.”

On whether he’s thinking about returning to the NBA: “The goal is to get back to the NBA at some point. This year things have been complicated. I hope we do well and I get back to the NBA.”

For his goals: “I want to win. I hope we win the championship. That’s the goal.”

For what he can offer to Panathinaikos: “I bring scoring, leadership and a winning mentality”.

On whether he has spoken to any of his new teammates: “No not I’ve still spoken to a teammate.”
