What Bankston stated
Bankston, who has been impressing so far and was the top scorer against Colossos, told ERT: “It’s nice to go out on the court and be able to play and show what you can offer. It was definitely the best game of my professional career for sure.”
On the reason for the excellent performance against Rhodes: “It’s the coach. The plan was to attack the racket and I was in the right position, at the right time, to score.”
On Hapoel Ber Sheva and Aris: “Yes I went to Israel, they have a great team and I love them, but with the difficult conditions I had to leave. I wanted to come here to Mars from the beginning, but they chose someone else… Finally I came, maybe it was karma. I have a contract for three years in Hapoel but I would be very happy if I stayed in Aris!”.
On the difficult situations he lived in Israel: “It was something extremely difficult to manage, luckily I left and I pray for those who are still there. We could hear the rockets from my house, it was scary, especially since my girlfriend and my son were with me. My priority was to get away with my family so they are all safe. The coach is in favor of defense, he talks to us all the time and I always try to be better to meet the demands of the team”.
On the defeat by Cluj: “It was a difficult defeat for the team”.
