Shocking complaint from a father who claims Barcelona fans verbally assaulted and threw dynamite at his 7-year-old son for wearing a Real Madrid scarf!
The incident was revealed by the newspaper El Mundo, which notes that the child’s father has made an official complaint to the Spanish League, about what happened last Saturday afternoon when Barcelona hosted Real Madrid in the clasico.
According to Jaime Fernandez, he and his 7-year-old son, who has autism, traveled to Barcelona from a nearby village in an attempt to watch the match up close. However, they did not find a ticket and did not enter the stadium.
The boy was wearing a Real Madrid scarf and when about 20-30 Catalan fans saw him, his father claims, they approached him and started verbally attacking him.
“They approached us, surrounded us and started cursing and insulting the child. They called him son of a bitch and asked him to take off his scarf so they wouldn’t burn him. My wife was trying to tell them that the child has autism and they shouldn’t disturb him any more and then one of them took out a stick of dynamite and threw it at my son’s feet. The child became very agitated, we took him together with his three-year-old brother and started running,” says the father.
The management of Real Madrid was informed of the incident and contacted the family to find out about the condition of the 7-year-old.
