Agreement with the construction group LIMAK HOLDING who has undertaken the reconstruction and expansion of its historic stadium Barcelona signed by SDENG ENGINEERING BUREAU.
The project concerns planning through B.IM technology (Building Information Modelling) of the bearing metal body of the new construction. In total, the project, lasting 24 monthsincludes the design and implementation study of 35,000 tons of structural steel new constructions including state of the art suspended roofas well as her 360° circular screen in the center of the stadium. The implementation of the project includes cooperation with companies from different parts of the world using it BIM technology at the highest LOD500 level.
She is the first time of cooperation of SDENG with the LIMAK group proving the company’s internationally recognized know-how with based in Volos in projects of high importance and volume.
“Our collaboration with the LIMAK group and our participation in a while complex construction and technological project confirms once again the trust shown in us by industry leaders. We are excited about our contribution to the construction of the new Camp Nou. Firstly, because we are adding an iconic project to our portfolio and secondly because we are once again showcasing the capabilities of Greek engineers”, said Aris Theodorouone of the founders of SDENG.
More generally, the reconstruction of Camp Nou has a budget of 1.5 billion euros and is expected to be completed on November 2024. It includes increasing the capacity, and upgrading it technologically and energetically turning it into an iconic stadium.
It’s the second sports project undertaken by SDENG, as well in 2014 he had designed the Baku Olympic Stadium in the Azerbaijanimplementing the project which exceeded 30,000 tons of steel, in just 14 months.
