Raso Nesterovic spoke to SPORT24 about the great Vassilis Spanoulis, with whom he was teammates at Olympiakos in the 2010-11 season.
Vassilis Spanoulis was honored by Olympiakos at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in his big night, which was not without his old teammates, with Raso Nesterovic being one of them and speaking at SPORT24 and Vassilis Skoundis.
Nesterovic was teammates with Vassilis Spanoulis for a short time in the 2010-11 season at Olympiakos, where the Slovenian ended his basketball career.
Specifically he stated:
On his pre-game routine: “It was crazy, but that’s the way it is, I think it’s one of the reasons he’s had this great career, but I think he should apologize to all the housemates he’s had that have supported him for so long.”
Regarding his main characteristic as a player or a person: “I think he’s very focused, he gives 100%. He doesn’t accept failure. He doesn’t take no for an answer, but the biggest thing about him is that everyone knows his career and how good a player he is. I think he’s great man, six children, great family, many friends, many teammates”.
On whether he regrets not having much playing time with Spanoulis: “Yes of course, but I was near the end of my career and he was in the prime of his career. That’s life, sometimes things don’t work out because of some things, but I’m really happy and it was an honor to be part of the team and to play with him”.
