Lazio demolished struggling AC Milan 4-0 to move within a point of the Serie A standings.
Lazio stayed in the group of Inter and Roma with the win 4-0 over Milan and now these three teams are one point away from the “rosoneri” and 2nd place. The… party of the 19th matchday at “Olimpico” saw absolute favorites for Serie A, Napoli, who remained 12 points away from their nearest rival.
The match started with the best omens for Lazio, after they took the lead in the 4th minute with Sergej Milinkovic Savic, after a lapse in defense by the visitors. The injury of Fikayo Tomori made the situation even more difficult for Milan, who have been facing many problems since the beginning of the season, and another one has been added to them.
Lazio took advantage of the visitors’ problems and poor situation and found another goal in the 38th minute with Mattia Jacani after Felipe Anderson’s crossbar. Simon Kjaer grabbed a third goal shortly after, but was unable to do so in the 2nd half.
Luis Alberto’s penalty in the 67th minute and Felipe Anderson’s seven minutes later extended the scoring to a level of triumph, with Milan unable to respond. Davide Calabria’s injury in stoppage time ended her disastrous trip to Rome.
