South Korea were held to a 2-2 draw by Costa Rica in a friendly in Goyang on Friday (23/09), with Olympiacos players Inbom Hwang and Ui-Jo Hwang starting for the hosts.
The international friendly match that took place on Friday afternoon (23/09) between South Korea and Costa Rica in Goyang ended without a winner, with the two teams drawing 2-2.
The home side took the lead through Hee-Chan Huang in the 28th minute before falling victim to a double-scoring turnaround through Bennett (41′ 63′), with their captain and Tottenham big star Sean writing the final score in the 85th minute with direct foul execution.
It is noted that the match also had a “Greek flavor” since Inbom Hwang and Ui-Jo Hwang, both of whom have been with Olympiacos since this summer, were in South Korea’s starting line-up.
The former was in South Korea’s midfield trio and played until the final while the latter filled the centre-forward role, giving way in the 77th minute to Woo-Yang Wong.
